I slowly approached the door. I looked behind me to see Kate and Steven frozen there. I turned towards the door. I walked up to the door and was reaching for the doorknob. I had my hand on the doorknob when I heard them knock again even louder.

Paw Prints- Chapter EightI burst into the house and dropped my bag by the door. As I slammed the door behind me, Connor and Damien came out of the living room with curious expressions on their faces.

"What the heck is your problem?" Damien asked.

I couldn't speak. Actually, I couldn't even breathe very well at that moment. I pushed the two of the out of the way and collapsed on the couch. After taking a few deep breaths I calmed down a bit.

"Well someone's out of shape" Connor muttered.

I just stared at him blankly for a second "You really shouldn't be joking like that right now".

Most of the memories were unimportant and it would be a waste of time to tell you but there were a few that I think will be of use to know. If not, then you should enjoy them at least. I know it's genre, but I do sometimes wish main charaters weren't all sweet and delicate looking...and I'd love for a guy to try to be mysterious with a name like John Smith :D

Hehe :laughing: yeah know what you mean, but part of the excitement is in the naming!!
Though, there definitely could be a story out there in the world somewhere for John Smith, Commander of Fallen Angels (or some such :D)!

also, do you know of NaNoWriMo and will you be participating? (I never know anyone who's doing it so I can never share my woes at how hard it is to pound out a novel in a month)
